Indian Lake State Park Manistique Wedding
A Thursday wedding may seem a bit unusual but it meant the word to Marissa and Tony to have all of their friends and family there with them to help them celebrate. A family tradition that started in the 1920s when Tony’s Grandfather purchased a cabin on the lake and continued through family gatherings on Indian Lake came full circle again when Tony and Marissa said their vows with their family and friends in attendance Thursday August 13th, 2015.
Tony and Marissa had their good friend James serve as their officiant. I must say, having seen hundreds of ceremonies in my career, I have rarely seen a wedding ceremony that was more personalized to the couple and James did an amazing job. It’s no surprise that he’s an aspiring comic. 🙂
Their wedding was VERY personalized with different messages written to them in cards and sealed in a box with a bottle of wine to open when times got tough. To keep with the casual rustic cabin beach theme the bridesmaids all wore yellow dresses, yet
they weren’t all the same style of dress. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the casual, relaxed atmosphere played one of Tony and Marissa’s favorite games (beer pong) and even signed their one of a kind guest book, a customized beer pong table for the two of them. Marissa and Tony were so thankful for everyone coming from near and far to share in this special day and a wonderful time was had by everyone on the dance floor as well with a mix of music from Skee-Lo to Journey!
