Stacy and Ryan wanted to showcase their love in pictures on their wedding day. Taylored Weddings provided 2 42″ LCD TVs to make the moment happen for guests without the need for bulky screens and a projector taking up wasted space. Here’s their video.

Vanessa and Jeff had a beautiful ceremony and reception at Pine Grove Country Club. Vanessa, Jeff and I had several meetings, including two in Lower Michigan where they live to help plan their ceremony and reception. All of our hard work came to fruition in creating a very memorable ceremony and reception. Friday afternoon was time for rehearsal and I arrived at 3:30pm to help them organize and run through the ceremony along with Pastor Bill Seitz. Gary and the staff at Pine Grove are always prepared and I was impressed that Gary even laid out his own chairs on the ceremony grounds to help everyone get a feel for the ceremony layout as the rental chairs wouldn’t arrive until the next afternoon. Thanks to Keith Freeman from Freemans Photography for stopping by on his way home to capture this shot to the left.

Memories like this one to the right are created and planned…they don’t just magically happen. Ask me sometime how this one was created. Thanks Keith Freeman for capturing their expressions flawlessly.

Vanessa and Jeff’s Ceremony went off without a hitch and guests were able to actually hear their vows as I had mic’ed Jeff and Pastor Bill ahead of time. After the ceremony their photographer Ashley took them for their wedding photos after the receiving line while guests enjoyed cocktail hour inside to get away from the heat. :) Introductions went very smooth and guests got to know a little bit about each wedding party member. Vanessa then welcomed all of their guests and surprised Jeff by singing him “Grow Old With Me” by Mary Chapin Carpenter. After that amazing performance, Vanessa and Jeff cut their cake. Jeff’s Grooms cake was a tip of the cap to his brother’s presidency of the Detroit Foosball Association. The Grooms cake is a great idea to personalize your reception and acknowledge a passion of your fiance. Toasts and Blessing were then given and guests were invited to the buffet line via a fun game.

Dancing was kicked off with Vanessa and Jeff’s first dance to Big and Rich’s “Lost In This Moment” followed by the Father Daughter dance to “Butterfly Kisses”, a song they used to listen to on road trips together. Jeff then danced with his Mother Barbara to “Find Your Wings” by Mark Harris…a beautiful song that I hadn’t heard up until them. The dance floor then kicked off and continued into the night with a special ending (see first photo) created just for Vanessa and Jeff. Brynn and Mario

Whenever I hear a client tell me they have booked Pine Grove CC for their wedding reception, I smile because I know this means a lot to them. Gary and his staff do a phenomenal job attending to every detail for food, beverage and service to my clients. Brynn and Mario’s reception was no different and desired an elegant atmosphere created for their wedding day and I believe we achieved exactly that.

Guests arrived to the reception and were greeted by UP Photobooth…a wonderful way to capture memories of the fun times had there that night. I must say…UP Photobooth was a BIG hit…they told me they took over 400 pictures! Each guest left with their own photo strip for a keepsake and

Brynn and Mario received this memory book as well at the end of the night. Guests were then invited to take their seats for dinner with the introductions of the wedding party to fun themed music for each couple, even bringing out two of the groomsmen to Flight of the Concords and Hulk Hogan’s theme song! Our maid of honor Annie gave a fun, heartwarming and creative toast with a little assistance by yours truly. Guests enjoyed hand rolled ravioli and wine to complete the Italian dinner theme and later danced the night away celebrating with Brynn and Mario. What a fun, creative and uniquely Brynn and Mario reception!

Ted and Sylvia celebrate 50 years of marriage

Last weekend I had the pleasure of performing for a couple who has achieved a somewhat rare feat in todays day and age: 50 years of marriage. It was a perfect gathering for two beautiful people who have created a wonderful family for themselves. Guests arrived to a variety of music from Sinatra, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Dean Martin. Dinner was ready but first toasts were made to the couple of honor by a few different family members including their children who collaborated together to create a night filled with surprises, with small assistance provided by Taylored Entertainment.

The night continued and it was time to show a special photo montage that we created in honor of Ted and Sylvia’s 50th. It’s HARD to condense 50 years of family, friendship and love into just 4 minutes but we did the best we could and Geana and the rest of her siblings

provided us with some great memories to do so. After the photo montage was shown….another surprise with guests who could not make it calling in to give their well wishes to Ted and Sylvia for reaching their golden anniversary. The dance floor was cleared and the evening kicked off with Ted and Sylvia sharing their 50th wedding anniversary dance to “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers.

Guests then joined in with Ted and Sylvia on the dance floor and continued right up until the end with a big group sing-a-long to “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge. Thank you Ted and Sylvia and families for a night to remember and celebrating 50 years of marriage.
