I think I’m still in shock over Scottie’s Maid Of Honor’s toast. Scottie and Brian came to me with the task of creating an event never before seen in the U.P., and definitely didn’t want a presentation similar to a traditional Yooper wedding. They invited 600 of their family and friends to join them on this day and it was a beautiful day weather wise for them. From the first moment of meeting Scottie I knew that she was Daddy’s Little Girl, and her and her father have quite a unique relationship that was definitely reflected in their Father Daughter dance. More on that in a minute.
Guests arrived to a room transformed by Final Touches Designs and food

was provided by Sydney’s Catering from Munising whom I must say did a fabulous job with the meal and service. We kept guests abuzz with different ideas used throughout including unique ways for Scottie and Brian to kiss and invite their guests to the two buffet lines provided for the 600 person reception. Immediately following a DVD montage was shown highlighting Scottie and Brian’s relationship that we provided the equipment for (gotta have a big screen for an ice arena!) Scottie and Brian then shared their First Dance with their guests with a presentation and song that were as unique as they are (Still The One by Orleans). It was a great change of pace for a fun-loving couple.
Up next came Scottie and Dennis Father Daughter Dance. They have a unique relationship, and the story we told with their Father Daughter dance was priceless, with a little humor injected into the introduction of the moment. Dennis’ nickname for Scottie is “money sucking wallet vulture” and that’s EXACTLY how they wanted the dance introduced. It made for a light-hearted moment for the two of them. Brian and his Mother danced as well and then the dance floor was underway with an eclectic mix of music from LMFAO to AC/DC and Guns N Roses to Kei$ha. The party continued all the way til 1am and people still wanted to keep going.
What a phenomenal wedding reception for two great families. Scottie and Brian definitely succeeded in creating a non-traditional Yooper wedding.
